Kate Williams
Director of Library and Media Services
Griffin Campus
"I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library."
Jorge Luis Borges
When Kate isn't busy reading every book ever written or putting her cardigan collection in color order, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Dudley, and spray painting furniture. Kate is a native of Auburn, AL, but attended CofC in Charleston, SC for her B.A, as the lure of the beach proved too much to resist. She received her M.S.L.S. from UNC-Chapel Hill where she tried to convince Carolina fans that football was much more exciting than basketball. She did not succeed.
Of all the things she likes about being a technical college librarian, Kate enjoys helping students learn the research process the most.
Sherry Brooks
Librarian
Griffin Campus
"The dearest ones of time, the strongest friends of the soul--BOOKS."
Emily Dickinson
When Sherry is not busy trying to find a book on her shelf that she has not devoured already, she enjoys surfing the internet and spending time with family and friends. After teaching school for several years and having a baby she decided to return to her first love of libraries. She received her Masters in Media Education from University of West Georgia with full intent of being a school librarian, but the opportunity arose at then Griffin Tech, and she has been here for 16 years. She has seen many changes to the library over the years; from one room with 10 computers to a new library with over 45 computers.
The best part of being a librarian is helping students with research and seeing their faces light up when the search results in the answer they were searching so hard to find. Sherry is looking forward to being a grandmother in February and sharing her love of reading to her new grandbaby.

Dr. Terence Sebright
Librarian
Flint River Campus
"Humour is emotional chaos remembered in tranquility."
James Thurber
Dr. Sebright works with students, faculty and staff to build information literacy and awareness skills through activities. He also is an active co-sponsor of the SCTC Chapter of the National Technical Honor Society.
Dr. Sebright's greatest satisfaction comes from seeing students' lives transformed as a result of the programs here at Southern Crescent Technical College. That makes it all worthwhile.
Outside of work, he pursues interests in gardening, old-house renovation (his own house), and cooking outdoors. Living on six acres, there is always something that needs to be done at home.
Teresa Nesbitt
Librarian
Flint River Campus
"'No, no! The adventures first,' said the Gryphon in an impatient tone: 'explanations take such a dreadful time.'"
Lewis Carroll
Teresa was born in Philadelphia and bleeds green, but hasn't spent much time there since. Instead, she moved to Tallahassee to get her MLIS from Florida State University and saved up the rest of her pennies to travel to London, Italy and other exotic lands like Oklahoma. When she isn't travelling, Teresa likes to dance and pretend to teach herself how to bake.
The best parts of any work day for Teresa involve helping students navigate the world wide web and to find books they love.
Bonni Capobianco
Librarian
Griffin Campus
"Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are."
Mason Cooley
Bonni grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and received her undergraduate degree in Restaurant and Hotel Management at Texas Tech University. She received her Masters degree in Information Resources and Library Science from the University of Arizona. Bonni has spent much of the past 25 years working and moving. She has lived in 2 foreign countries and 8 states, mostly following her husband and his job with the United States Air Force. She loves to travel and see new places, whether it’s an hour’s drive or a long flight. When not working or traveling, she loves to read, walk or knit, not at the same time.
